By: Farche B The track was previously recorded as “The Unknown”, and it is one of the tracks in Muse’s newest album, The 2nd Law. There are no lyrics to the song as it is an instrumental track that is made of piano, drums, and other instruments combined with woman broadcaster and TV/radio transmission. However, it is created and edited in such a way that it brings beautiful, relaxing, peaceful, yet suspenseful mood. Muse frontman and composer of this track, Matthew Bellamy, argued "It's the noise of humanity on a tiny planet in the middle of nothing". He further stated "Hanging around space would be so peaceful and quiet and suddenly you come to this little blip that's f-----g chaos! I see it as drifting away from the planet and going into the peacefulness of what actually is gonna happen at the end of it all, which is nothingness”. This track was featured in horror action movie World War Z. Bellamy admitted that even though this wasn’t the first time for Muse’s song to be featured in a movie, World War Z is one of his favorites. He stated “Right from the bat we knew this was a big thing because they kept contacting us when we were making the album (The 2nd Law) saying they wanted us to score the film”. He also shared he was thinking of the survival apocalyptic situation similar to World War Z when he was making The 2nd Law.
