Seven years ago, Boyce Avenue did not just start a trend, they started a whole new culture and a whole new way of exposing the world to brilliant music. Armed with just a camera, a guitar and great musical talent, Boyce Avenue have gone on several worldwide tours, made two hit albums and have countless followers on their social media sites. After their first performance in Singapore at Music Matters in 2013, they are back again this November 21st for a headlining tour date and are eager to give their fans here a whole lot more!
Boyce Avenue was started by brothers Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano in 2004 after Daniel finished at Harvard Law School, and while the other two were still studying at the Univerisity of Florida. It all started in 2007 when they first began posting covers on Youtube. That first cover features Alejandro alone with his guitar belting out the hit track "Before It's Too Late" by the
Goo Goo Dolls from the Transformers Soundtrack. To date that video has had almost 2 million views already, and since then they have amassed over 1 billion hits for all 200 of their videos which is unheard since the birth of the YouTube generation.
Eager to build on their growing popularity, Boyce Avenue were signed up a record label and made their first album "All We're Meant To Be" which went onto do pretty well in sales and in reviews as well. They released their sophomore album under their own label "3 Peace" and "Universal" in 2010 to pretty similar ratings.
With their continued success in the YouTube world, this has led to a mass revolution of musicians using YouTube as a platform for not only their covers but for their original works as well. Musicians all over Youtube cite them as one of their influence because if it was not for their success other musicians would not have the courage to have gone out and posted their works on YouTube. These include YouTube musicians like Megan Nicole, Tyler Ward, Tiffany Alvord and many, many more.
