By: Jaaziel Job LOVE OUT LOUD is a young, fun and quirky electronic-pop group based in Minneapolis. Playing together for almost four years; Dillon Jones, Nate Flynn, Jake and Mitchel Johnson are a quartet you shouldn't dismiss! It's hard to "group" them up in terms of genre and style because they're incredibly diverse. Who I Am is an incredibly fun track with kill electro tunes and beats. The boys are geniuses! Love Out Loud recently released the album "THE WILDLIFE". I was blown away by the talent showcased on this. All 11 tracks on this amazing record were nothing short of perfection! Check out the band's cover of Taylor Swift's ' I Knew You Were Trouble'. LOVE OUT LOUD'S version of the hit song " Let's Go" (Calvin Harris/Ne-Yo) We caught up with vocalist DILLON JONES: What are some of your musical inspirations? We come from a pop rock background. We used to love bands like Relient K, Sing It Loud and Cobra Starship. Now we have transitioned our interests in the EDM sound so we are much more influenced by artists like Madeon, Zedd, Knife Party and Krewella. Talk about your best tour experience and why you enjoyed it? One of my favorite moments in the band was opening for the Sonshine Music Festival in Willmar, MN where we opened for Family Force 5 and Switchfoot! I will never forget how amazing that show was, playing for my first crowd of thousands! The singer of Family Force 5 gave me a funnel cake and we got to chill. "Who I am" is a really good song! Tell us a little bit about this track and the story behind it? Who I Am was basically written about our own experiences that you cant change who you are, you can only hide it with appearance and good acting skills. I felt called to music and was always afraid of how I might end up if I failed. But I believe God puts us on these cliffs and we will always regret our opportunity if we don't jump. You recently released "The Wildlife"! Tell us more about this record? "The Wildlife" is our first full length record. This record was really our first time getting to fully emerge ourselves into dance music. While this record definitely has some musical A.D.D. (with Shine and Redneck City Boy), we are very proud to have our name on it. And I think this has been our best work yet! Lastly, do you have a shout out for current and potential fans? Shout out to the Hutch Girls! And to future fans: if we ever meet you at a show prepare for a sweaty hug... You have been warned!
