Martin Johnson, John Keefe, Paul DioGiovanni and newest member Morgan Dorr were recently in Singapore to headline Ion Orchard's 4th anniversary fashion concert. The flawless acoustic performance - set against the magnificent backdrop of the Ion Orchard was part of the iconic mall’s annual celebratory affair. The hour long set, which saw diehard fans in unimaginable hysteria, kick-started with - ‘Love Drunk’, an upbeat chart topper from the quartet’s second studio album. The diverse set included a mixture of old and new BLG hits alike. “Life of the party”; was an instant crowd favourite while BLG classics like Hero/Heroine, Heels Over Head and Five Minutes To Midnight left long-time fans in tears! (Good tears, of course!) Photo courtesy of Ion Orchard The acoustic renditions ‘Thunder’ & ‘Be Your Everything’, allowed Martin to showcase his wide vocal range, which was an obvious stand out feature of the Boston band’s 4th show in Singapore. An added surprise to the set was when BLG fan Pam Chan, had the once in a life time opportunity to perform ‘Two Is Better Than One’ on stage with Martin. Two Is Better Than One was originally a duet with Country princess, Taylor Swift. The night ended with “The Great Escape”, the very song that started it all! It was a perfect way to end one of the best acoustic shows I’ve been to! There’s nothing more magical than watching a good band play an acoustic set. The intimacy with the crowd and the entire experience is something money cannot buy. Thank you Ion Orchard, I cannot wait to see what is installed for us next year!
